Eleni [Nelly] Bourantani, born in Piraeus, holds a BA
in English Language and Literature and an MA in Translation-Translation
Theory, both from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
Since 2000, she has been a teacher of English Language at state schools.
She is also involved in literary translation and creative writing. Her
most recent published work is the translation of Katerina Valaoritis’s
poetic volume «Χαμένος Θησαυρός» (Athens: Κοινωνία των Δεκάτων, 2012).
She also wrote a winning entry in the competition on intercultural
dialogue organized by the British Council, Ianos, and Ta Nea in
Greece in November 2008 (“Habari Rafiki!”, Imagine your Future in a
Changing City, Athens: Ianos Publications, 2009). |
